Regional Employment Manager, South East Regional Community Employment Hub (SE@RCH)

12 Month Contract – Re-Advertised

About the Role:

  • Develop, implement and drive an innovative pilot project to provide increased employment opportunities for residents of the South-East region
  • Provide support and guidance to the Career Development Coach (to be employed) to ensure outcomes are achieved for the jobseekers, employers and the community.
  • Help connect established networks to enhance employment solutions
  • Work with the community to identify emerging employment opportunities for jobseekers
  • Work in collaboration with the local steering committee
  • This is a full time 12 month contract position and is based in Sorell with regular travel across south-east region (Triabunna to Port Arthur and all surrounding areas).

Remuneration:

The salary is in line with the Labour Market Industry Award, Manager Grade 2, A-E, however may be negotiated with the successful applicant depending on experience and/or qualifications. A fully maintained vehicle, mobile phone and tablet/laptop will be provided. As a not-for-profit organisation our employees have access to salary sacrifice and a range of other benefits.

Complex Case Support Worker, Housing Emergency Support Program

Part Time (4 days per week), Fixed Term

Housing Connect is the primary entry point into housing and homelessness services in Southern Tasmania.

About the Role

The Emergency Support Program (ESP) Complex Case Support Worker provides high quality, client-focused, strength-based assessment and referral services, crisis intervention and immediate needs support to assist clients achieve independence from the housing and homelessness support system. The core focus of this role is to provide services to people facing primary homelessness.

Duties include the provision of responsive, strength-based case planning and case management; advocating for clients experiencing barriers to obtaining and maintaining independent accommodation; provision of client referrals to generalist and specialist services. The successful candidate will have sound knowledge and understanding of: local housing sectors including private, public, community and social housing; relevant housing information, available client resources, service providers and referral points; and issues pertaining to people experiencing homelessness and social and economic challenges.

This position is a Part-Time role working within the community across greater Hobart and Southern Tasmania. As the position is tied to Government funding, this is a fixed-term opportunity until 30 June 2020.

Residential Youth Coach – Colville Place

Part Time (6 month maternity leave cover)

About the Role

Colville Place provides short term accommodation for young people aged between 12 and 15 years who may not have a safe place to stay.

Our Residential Youth Coaches have a critical role in supporting the amazing people aged 12-15 years who reside with us. Colville Place promotes healthy relationships and supports young people to engage with education and to develop living skills, emotional resilience, interpersonal skills and to reconnect with family where appropriate.

With the right set of opportunities and support, we can identify and harness everyone’s talent for personal and social good. During a young person’s time at Colville Place they can focus on their goals, so they can reach their full potential.
