‘I began working for JobNet Tasmania 5 years ago as an administration assistant. I’ve worked in a variety of different areas of the Australian Apprenticeships Centre and am currently in the position of Field Support Officer. With the support of my manager and colleagues I have obtained a Diploma in Business as well as a wealth of knowledge and positive experiences, of which I couldn’t be happier to have achieved’.
‘I have been working at Colony for 2 years. In that time I have been part of a strong team of awesome individuals in the youth and families space, working in an area I am very passionate about. Benefitting from Colony’s commitment to family/work balance, I have the flexibility needed to ensure I don’t miss out on my own family’s moments – both big and small – while contributing to my local and broader community’.
‘Within Colony I have had the pleasure of working with a broad range of people over the past few years. As a Partnership Broker I work with schools, businesses and community members in programs aiming to encourage young people to complete their education. I am also able to support other staff in my role as Contact Officer here at Colony 47.’
‘I started my student placement in housing 4 years ago and then started working full time with Colony when I finished my degree. I get to work with a dedicated, supportive team and love having the opportunity to work with a huge range of people from so many different backgrounds. My role now is in housing support, working with young people’.
‘Having come from an extensive teaching and artistic career, I have now been at Colony for 3 years working in Youth Connections. I enjoy this program because it enables me to bring value to a child’s life and gives them a place in their community. I get to meet and work with people from all walks of life and learn through this’
