Providing opportunity for members of the community disadvantaged by barriers to employment, housing and
basic daily requirements means a never ending search for funding. This is a list of our major funding sources. We would like
to acknowledge their contribution to the services Colony 47 provides.
ZINIFEX
Zinifex has made a generous donation of $5,000 to the 2006 Christmas Lunch. Chickenfeed
Chickenfeed has assisted clients of our CA$H program with over $10,000 worth of vouchers. These vouchers have been used by clients to help furnish their homes with appropriate utensils and products.
Petrusma and Partners
Petrusma and Partners has made a generous donation to the 2005 Christmas lunch and has on several other occasions assisted our young women services (Mara House). For this we thank them dearly
ABC Giving Tree The ABC Giving Tree has been a long term supporter of the Colony 47 Lunch. Last year they were able to contribute $1,500 towards supporting this event.
St Lukes Health St Luke's Health has made a contribution through their giving program 'The Butterfly Foundation', to assist with upgrading furniture at Community Central
Mure's Restaurants and Fishing
This year Mure's Restaurants and Fishing made a donation of $900 towards Community Central, which is being used to help with some improvements to the service.
RICOH Hobart
Ricoh printers this year made a contribution of $300 towards the work of Colony 47.
JobNet Tasmania Inc. is a joint venture between three well established Tasmanian employment and training service providers:
Colony 47 Inc., Mersey Skill Training Inc. and Northern Tasmania Employment and Community Services.
JobNet has six service outlets around the State dedicated to providing the highest quality services to Tasmanian businesses, new apprentices and jobseekers.
Tasmania Together is a state based plan for the development and alignment of business, organisations and individuals to work towards a better state.
TASCOSS
TasCOSS is the Tasmanian Council of Social Service. This peak body provides point of advocacy for the community services sector providing advice to the media, government and the general public.
The Alcohol, Tobacco and other Drugs Council sits within scope of TasCOSS in Tasmania.
Volunteering Tasmania Inc.
VolTAS is the Tasmanian Branch of Volunteering AUSTRALIA. As the Peak body on volunteering standards and practices in Tasmania they provide assistance to organisations, media and public about all aspects of volunteering.
Shelter Tasmania.
Shelter Tasmania is the independent Peak Body for low to moderate income housing consumers and community groups involved in housing across Tasmanian. Shelter's website contains information on housing and homelessness in Tasmania and the contacts details for emergency accommodation services Statewide.
Youth Network of Tasmania.
The Youth Network of Tasmania acts as a peak body for services focused around young peoples' needs.
