Colony 47 Community Christmas Lunch - an institution in Hobart

December 2011

For an ever increasing number of Tasmanians who may not have all the trimmings of Christmas, who may not have a home to enjoy Christmas in, or who may be alone and not have a place to go on the day Colony 47 is there with Christmas Lunch complete with all the trimmings.

Once again the Hellenic Hall in Federal Street North Hobart will host the event and with the number of meals served increasing each year, it is anticipated that the 2011 Colony 47 Christmas Lunch will provide in excess of 400 meals!!

Colony 47 could not provide this annual Christmas Lunch without the generous donations from businesses and individuals of food and festive fare. The ABC giving tree is also very generous with gifts making so many children's dreams come true.

This year Colony 47 has also launched a Christmas Appeal to help us help those in need.

This appeal will assist Tasmanians in need, not only at Christmas but during the year as well, so please give generously.
