Healing Our Way - HOW

This state based program provides pre and post release support and capacity building initiatives to Aboriginal men in detention and to their families.

Offers support to Aboriginal men in the prison system. The program is a culturally focussed healing program which reduces patterns of offending crimes by Aboriginal men and builds their leadership skills.

The program also works with the person to re-establish relationships with family and their community.

This program will work specifically with Aboriginal people in the Ashley Youth Detention Centre and Risdon Prison as well as with people in the broader networks of the Tasmanian Aboriginal Community.
