Our Purpose
We are people working together to create a fair community where everyone has access to housing, employment, training and family support.

Our work is with individuals and families. We assist people to strengthen their relationships and create opportunities.

We work together to make a positive difference in people's lives.

Who we are?...
Colony 47 first opened its doors in 1973 as a coffee shop and drop-in centre for young people. From our small beginnings, we have developed into an independent organisation, assisting people with housing, employment, training and family issues. We operate throughout Southern Tasmania.
