Executive Profiles   Chief Executive Officer Therese Taylor joined Colony 47 as CEO in December 2006. Therese has executive leadership experience in both government and the private sector. Government positions held include General Manager, Drysdale Institute of TAFE- hospitality and tourism training college; Director, Office of Vocational Education and Training - planning, purchasing and supporting the delivery of vocational education and training in Tasmania. In her role as General Manager, Department of Economic Development Therese managed the division responsible for small business development, regional development and employment generation programs. Therese was also appointed General Manager, Strategic Projects, Tasmanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, delivering high level policy advice to the TCCI Board on Industry Projects. Therese holds a degree in Journalism (UQ), Bachelor of Arts and Diploma of Education (UNE) and Grad Diploma Management (UTAS)   Manager Operations Claudia Butler joined the Colony 47 team in early 2008. Claudia worked as Team Leader and Manager at Colony 47 before being appointed to the Manager Operations position in November 2009. Claudia has a teaching background and has also worked as a Lecturer, Work Experience Mentor, Consultant and as a Trainer and Assessor in the Swiss education system. After migrating from Switzerland to Tasmania in 2003 Claudia studied Small Business Management and worked in a variety of small businesses in managerial positions. Claudia has a Diploma of Education, several certificates underpinning her professional path and has recently completed a post-graduate certificate in Public Sector Management.   Finance Manager Wendy Bateman Bateman joined Colony 47 in November 2010. Previously Wendy has worked in the not-for-profit sector, primarily in the area of disability services. Wendy holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree (UTAS) is a member of CPA Australia and is currently completing an advanced diploma of management.   [back]
