Colony47 is looking for a Project Officer for our ActionMan program
ActionMan is a men’s healthy lifestyle program for men with complex or multiple barriers to a healthy lifestyle. Through building partnerships with community organisations that work with disadvantaged men, we have created a healthy recreation program with activities tailor-made to suit their individual needs. This program supports participants by providing diet and health literacy and encouraging an active lifestyle.
Applicants are asked to provide a brief expression of interest outlining their interest and experience in this area of work.
- Hours of work: 5 hours per week
- Start date: 20th February, 2012. Fixed term until 30th June, 2012

Are you passionate about exploring new and innovative ways of working with young people and their families?
Would you like to work in a team that will assist you to develop your skills?
The position can involve a range of duties including:
- providing an intake service for the Reconnect program including telephone counselling and support to young people and their families
- medium term counselling and support to young people and their families
- group work with young people and their families
- community capacity building projects
Reconnect is a Youth Homelessness Early Intervention Program which aims to strengthen connections between young people who are at risk of homelessness or are homeless, and their families, education, employment, training and the community. Clients may include young people and their families from the CALD communities.
The successful candidates must have relevant qualifications and preferably experience in working with young people and parents. Recently qualified graduates are encouraged to apply.

Do you have a passion for working with young people, particularly with those who have disengaged or are at risk of disengaging from education?
Youth Connections is an exciting program working to address barriers that contribute to young people disengaging from education. The overall aim of the program is to assist at risk young people to complete year 12 or equivalent. The work encompasses individual case management and group work to support disengaged young people aged 11 – 17.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated ability in working positively with young people. Key to this role is establishing and maintaining relationships, and working collaboratively with key stakeholders including the young person, family, educators and other youth service providers, and the candidate would need to demonstrate proven capacity in this area.
We are looking for a person with skills in a range of areas such as case management, education, counselling, mediation, group work and evaluation. The successful candidate must have relevant qualifications and experience in working with young people
